In August of 2012, I set out to find out if 2 sites identified with Google Earth could be lost pyramid sites. I could have never imagined the series of events that unfolded next as the story went viral. In July of 2013, almost one year after the story went around the world, a new update was relayed to Rossella Lorenzi via Discovery News of new findings and new evidence supporting the 2 sites in Egypt. An amazing story had unfolded in that year, a story of two famous map collectors in Egypt who had proof both sites could in fact be pyramid complexes.
“The couple, Medhat Kamal El-Kady, former ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, and his wife Haidy Farouk Abdel-Hamid, a lawyer, former counselor at the Egyptian presidency and adviser of border issues and international issues of sovereignty, are top collectors of maps, old documents, books and rare political and historical manuscripts.”
They had not only donated maps and documents to the US administration and the US Library of Congress but one of their most famous donations included the al-Idrissi map of the Earth. This map was drawn by Muhammad al-Idrissi for King Roger II of Sicily in 1154 and is considered one of the most advanced, ancient world maps ever created. The map was donated by the couple to the Library of Alexandria in 2010.
I also heard from Mohamed Aly Soliman who visited the Abu Sidhum site and sent me video and photographic evidence that the site could definitely be a lost pyramid site.
Now, we are all on a quest to find out the truth about these sites and document our journey.
